And for those who were already seeking assistance, these resources are now even more imperative. Your neighbors are crying out for help and our nonprofit partners are answering their call.
Additional funds are crucial to our nonprofit partners with this influx. Sherburne County Area United Way has set up the Covid-19 Relief Fund for our nonprofit partners so they can better serve our community during this critical time.
Your neighbors could use your help more than ever! Your generosity during this difficult time could help feed a family, help a teen experiencing homelessness get help, or allow a victim of domestic violence have a safe place to stay. United Way 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember, three-digit number that families and individuals in Minnesota can call to obtain free and confidential information on health and human services. Callers to 211 are provided referrals to community resources based on the needs they describe to our information and referral specialists. The highest priority needs voiced by 211 callers are in the areas of housing, food, and clothing and household items such as soap and personal hygiene products. 211 referrals are cumulative since March 16, 2020.
