Our Programs

iEmpower Youth Program

The iEmpower Youth Program works with youth in grades K-12 to foster skills that empower them to become tomorrow's leaders. These youth develop:

  • Communication skills

  • Leadership skills

  • Self-confidence

  • Self-reliance skills

It is offered in all three school districts within our service area—Big Lake, Princeton and Elk River Area—as a before/after school program. Faculty and staff invite students to participate in the program.

Sherburne County Area United Way (SCAUW) has created a curriculum that is unique to iEmpower and covers a variety of topics. This fantastic program is offered free to all participants, thanks to our sponsors.

Annual Fundraiser

True Colors Fashion Show

The True Colors Fashion Show, presented by SCAUW's Women United council, is an annual fundraiser benefiting the iEmpower program. It features:

  • A runway show featuring the latest fashions from area retailers, modeled by local business and community members

  • A catered dinner

  • Delicious desserts for each table to bid on during the dessert auction

  • Fabulous raffle prizes and an envelope challenge to win cash

The True Colors Fashion Show supports SCAUW's iEmpower Youth Program. By working on leadership, self-confidence and problem-solving skills we are empowering today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders. Together we are helping kids in the Big Lake, Princeton and Elk River Area School Districts discover their true potential.
