Advancing the Common Good

We're changing to meet the most pressing needs in our community.

Committed to the Sherburne County Area

Sherburne County Area United Way (SCAUW) ensures that resources are used to create positive, long-lasting changes in our community for years to come. We do this by addressing the underlying causes of problems so that they can be eliminated before they begin.

Our Mission

To unite people and resources to impact lives in the Sherburne County Area.

Our Vision

We LIVE UNITED to provide opportunities that inspire individuals, engage communities and build brighter futures.

Our Goal

UNITED WE WIN by working proactively in the community, building trust, collaboration, inclusion and fiscal stability for long-lasting change.  UNITED WE FIGHT to protect and empower vulnerable youth by focusing on education, health and financial stability.

Our New Focus
Recently, the need for local programs to keep young people safe has been identified as a top priority by our community leaders. Our children are at-risk for homelessness, hunger, abuse, and even human-trafficking, right here in the Sherburne County area. To meet this need, the United Way's new focus is to protect and empower vulnerable youth. Our goal is to teach respect, inclusion, and self-advocacy. We believe this new focus will have lifelong benefit and create a brighter future for all people in the Sherburne County area.
